Bamboo and porcelain diffuser

Specializing in bamboo art since 1898, Kohchosai Kosuga combines the classic and the modern to offer new styles of bamboo crafts while protecting tradition. Since its creation in Kyoto, five generations of artisans have supplied the imperial family and other families of the Japanese court with bamboo objects and incense. 

Working with bamboo as a raw material for several generations, Kohchosai Kosuga has developed a wide variety of original products with a unique philosophy: “Create bamboo objects to enrich life”. From artistic crafts to everyday objects, all products are handmade. 

This Kohchosai Kosuga porcelain diffuser is wrapped in a bamboo net woven by hand in the house's workshop. It comes with eight bamboo reeds for diffusing scented oils. * 

Due to its natural materials, there may be slight variations in color, tone and texture. The color of bamboo may patina or fade over time, or if the item is exposed to direct sunlight. 

*Fragrance oil is not included in the diffuser.

Diffuser - 11.5cmx5.5cm

Pour your favorite oil into the diffuser, about half full, and place the bamboo reeds inside. The fragrance diffuses gently for approximately two months. 

When the scent fades, turn the reeds over so that the ends that were in the oil are facing away from the diffuser, and add more oil if necessary. 

Try to avoid getting the bamboo wet or making it damp. Dry it immediately if it gets wet.
