What is a GuaSha ?

Gua Sha are massage tools made of natural stone, horn or metal that have been used for centuries in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine to relieve muscle tension, improve blood circulation and stimulate the lymphatic system.

Gua Sha massage stones are usually made of natural stones such as jade, rose quartz, or amethyst. These stones are polished to create a smooth, rounded surface that can be easily glided over the skin.

What are the benefits of GuaSha massage?

Healthy glow and anti-aging effect

One of the main benefits of Gua Sha massage stones for the face is the improvement of blood circulation. By gently massaging the face with the stone, you can increase blood flow and improve the oxygenation of skin cells. This can help stimulate collagen production, improve skin elasticity and reduce the signs of aging.

Draining and anti-dark circle effect

Gua Sha massage stones for the face can also help reduce puffiness and dark circles under the eyes. By gently massaging the area under the eyes, you can help stimulate lymphatic drainage, which can reduce swelling and dark circles.

What shape of gua sha to choose?

For facial massage, the main difference between a heart gua sha and a mushroom gua sha lies in their shape and function.

The Mushroom

The mushroom-shaped gua sha has a curved shape that easily adapts to the contours of the face, allowing for more precise and comfortable use on delicate areas of the face, such as the mouth, nose and under eye area.

The heart shape

The heart-shaped gua sha is used to massage larger areas of the face, such as the cheeks, forehead and oval of the face. However, its tip can also be used to massage smaller areas such as the mouth, nose and under-eye area.

How to use it?

To use a Gua Sha massage stone for the face, you need to start by cleaning the stone and your face. Next, apply a massage oil or moisturizer and begin to gently massage the targeted areas with the stone. Be sure to follow the face's natural contours and use light, steady pressure.

You can follow this guide by repeating each gesture 5 times. The arrows represent slides and the dots represent 2 to 3 seconds of pressure.

Gua Sha Massage Stones are an excellent tool for improving the beauty of the skin and reducing the signs of aging. Using a Gua Sha massage stone for the face can stimulate blood circulation, reduce puffiness and dark circles under the eyes, and reduce inflammation.

It's an easy and effective way to add a relaxing massage step to your skincare routine.
