RUHAKU - THE ORGANIC BEAUTY SECRET FROM JAPAN

RUHAKU is the first organic skincare brand originating from Okinawa, the legendary island of longevity, certified by Ecocert, using the unique power of antioxidants from Gettou leaves.

RUHAKU is a word combining RYUKYU and BIHAKU (clear and supple skin in Japanese). Indeed, the Okinawa archipelago, located at the southernmost part of Japan, was once called RYUKYU (an island known for its beautiful turquoise ocean, lush forest, and exceptional longevity) and BIHAKU (clear and supple skin in Japanese).

OKINAWA: THE ISLAND OF LONGEVITY

The island of Okinawa is located in Japan and is known for the long life expectancy of its inhabitants. The virtues of its unique plants, found only in Okinawa, contribute significantly to the health of its citizens.

The island of Okinawa is abundant in energizing plants. The plants found in Okinawa grow in a harsh environment with strong sea breezes and intense UV radiation. However, not only do these plants survive in this environment, but they also retain their freshness and grow normally. These plants manage to overcome such an environment by containing a very high level of antioxidants. These antioxidants have benefits for the beauty and health of the skin.

GETTOU: THE KEY INGREDIENT

The Gettou plant is classified in the category of zingiberaceae herbs and grows up to 2-3 meters tall even in hard soil with strong UV radiation.

The Gettou plant grows in an area highly exposed to sunlight and sea breezes, producing a powerful antioxidant. The water and oil extracted from the Gettou leaf have true anti-aging properties.

For every 100 kilograms of Gettou leaves, only 30 milliliters of oil can be extracted.

Researchers from Ryukyu University have proven that Gettou essential oil contains a content that eliminates "reactive oxygen" that oxidizes lipids in the skin. Furthermore, Gettou contains an aroma that soothes the mind.

RUHAKU only uses Gettou plants grown on Hamahiga Island in the Okinawa archipelago and certified by the organic biological institute "JAS".

Hamahiga Island is a sacred island, formerly known as "the island where the gods lived".
